Here are the Changes Made to the 2023 Toyota Tacoma

The 2023 Toyota Tacoma receives a few changes this year in order to become more attractive among other compact pickups.

The Nightshade Edition

The biggest change for the 2023 Toyota Tacoma is the addition of a new trim level. The Nightshade edition inserts itself toward the top of the Tacoma range, which means its benefits from most of the features available in the small pickup. These features include the blind spot monitoring system, the keyless entry system, the sunroof, the panoramic view monitor, the leather upholstery, and the JBL premium sound system, among others. What distinguishes this model is that it adopts a blacked-out exterior appearance. This package replaces every bit of brightwork found on other Tacoma models with gloss black elements, including the wheels and the exhaust tip. The Nightshade is only available with the Double Cab and the automatic transmission.

The same mechanicals

Under the hood, the 2023 Toyota Tacoma remains the same as in 2022, which means that the only engine offered continues to be the 278 horsepower 3.5L V6 engine that can be paired with a six-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission. All of these elements have been proven over the last few years, which is a testament to the reliability and durability of the Tacoma. Keeping the same mechanical elements also means that the Tacoma keeps the same towing capabilities, with the weight limit set at 6,800 pounds.

Eleven different versions

Despite having only one engine to choose from, the 2023 Toyota Tacoma is one of the most configurable vehicles on the market. These choices also include two different cab lengths and two-bed sizes. The entry-level version provides an affordable and capable truck to budget-minded customers while the TRD pro model at the opposite end of the lineup is a serious off-roading machine that can also easily be someone’s every vehicle. The TRD Pro also receives a new colour for 2023 which is called Solar Octane.
