The 2023 Toyota Corolla Hatchback Gets More Tech and a Modernized Style

The Toyota Multimedia System

The 2023 Toyota Corolla Hatchback is the latest model to gain the all-new Toyota Multimedia infotainment system introduced in the new Tundra pickup last year. This system benefits from all of the latest technologies, such as advanced voice commands and connected services. Toyota Multimedia also includes the wireless versions of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, in addition to the Remote Connect features that make it possible to control certain functions of the vehicle with the cell phone app. The voice command system can be activated hands-free by saying “Hey Toyota” followed by any of a large number of available prompts.

The refreshed style

The 2023 Toyota Corolla Hatchback benefitted from a few changes to its exterior design for the new model year in order to stay fresh and attractive. These changes include modified front and rear bumpers and two new flashy paint colours: Inferno and Blue Crush.

The same powertrain

The 2023 Toyota Corolla Hatchback continues to be a very fuel-efficient and fun-to-drive small car due to its standard 2,0L engine that makes 169 horsepower. Paired with the Direct-Shift CVT transmission which features a physical first gear for more dynamic accelerations from a stop and to avoid the typical feeling associated with CVT transmissions that many drivers dislike. This system makes the most of the engine’s power and efficiency in order to allow an impressive level of performance and a fuel consumption figure of only 6,7 L/100 km on the highway. In order to make driving even more fun, the transmission also incorporates a mode that simulates a 10-speed transmission by reducing the engine’s speed briefly during acceleration, as if the transmission was shifting actual gears. This can also be controlled with the available paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel.
