The all-new 2022 Toyota Tundra has just been revealed and it is without a doubt one of the most impressive new trucks to hit the market in recent memory.  The new Tundra is more powerful, more rugged, more capable and more distinctive than ever.  It is a bold new truck for a bold truck owner who cannot compromise on capability or performance. Two New Engines, Multiple Versions

The 2022 Toyota Tundra is powered by a 3.5 L, twin-turbo V6 engine that delivers an impressive 389 horsepower along with 479 pound-feet of torque.  This engine is the most powerful base engine you can get in the segment.  It is paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox and it is quite a bit more efficient than the outgoing model. On the other hand, it is available with a new technology that makes it even more powerful and even more impressive.

The new Tundra is indeed offered with a revolutionary new i-FORCE MAX powertrain that adds a motor generator and clutch between the gearbox and engine. This system is designed to boost power as needed and can deliver up to 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque from the 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6. 

This system doesn’t impact fuel economy in any meaningful way, but the gain in power and performance is significant. 

The new 2022 Toyota Tundra delivers up to 12,000 pounds of towing capacity along with an impressive 1,940 pounds of max payload. It is available in two body configurations that include Double Cab and CrewMax as well as three bed lengths: 5.5 feet, 6.5 feet, and 8.1 feet. 

Inside, buyers will find a more luxurious design along with new connectivity technologies. These include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto housed in a new standard 8.0-inch screen or an available 14-inch touchscreen (the largest in the segment), a new infotainment system, Toyota Connected Services which offer remote control of your Tundra through a mobile app, and a range of luxury and comfort features. These include heated and ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, rear sunshade and available panoramic sunroof.
