Toyota Provides More Information on 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander Including Versions and Interior Space

Toyota has unveiled more about its all-new 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander, with emphasis on its versatility, convenience, and interior space. Built on the modified TNGA-K platform with a wider track and longer wheelbase than the traditional Highlander, this SUV is designed to exceed expectations when it comes to luxury and refinement while also offering surprising interior space.

Interior Space and Convenience

The Grand Highlander is as versatile as it is spacious, making it perfect for everything from short grocery runs to long weekend road trips. Thoughtful storage areas are spread throughout the cabin, including a pocket on the passenger side capable of holding a small bag. Ample cargo capacity allows for room for seven carryon suitcases behind the 3rd row. With second and third-row seats folded down, it offers a whopping total of 2,775 litres (97.5 cubic feet) of space.

Centred around the standard 12.3-inch multimedia display, the controls are intuitively designed for easy access. The center stack boasts a wireless charger, two USB ports, and three cup holders. One of these cup holders can accommodate a large water bottle or mega cup. A sliding console cover increases versatility, permitting the lid to be opened and closed even with the armrests in use. The dashboard houses another USB port and a tray for holding a cord during device charging, providing added convenience for the passenger.

Comfort and convenience extend to the second row, with an air conditioning control panel, separate left/right USB ports, and cup holders readily accessible to passengers. Additional water bottle storage areas are provided in the door. The Limited and Platinum grades also offer a removable tray with cup holders and a smartphone storage slot.

Even the third-row passengers are not left out. Two left/right individual USB ports, smartphone/tablet storage space, and two cup & bottle holders cater to diverse usage scenarios. Moreover, a support grip and a hand support space are provided for use during ingress and egress.

Technology

Toyota's Traffic Jam Assist, which operates the steering, gas, and brake pedals in stop-and-go traffic, enhances the Grand Highlander's convenience and safety. It also comes with heated and ventilated seats, power outlets, and a hands-free power back door.

The 12.3-inch Toyota Multimedia system with touch and voice controls offers an intuitive and engaging user interface. Connected Services include Intelligent Assistant, Cloud Navigation, and Destination Assist, and Bluetooth phone connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For audiophiles, the JBL Premium Audio system is available for an enhanced audio experience.

Safety Connect includes Emergency Assistance, Enhanced Roadside Assistance, and Collision Notification. Furthermore, the Remote Connect service allows users to activate headlights, lock/unlock doors, and remotely start the vehicle from a smartphone.
